Limited Edition Warm Spices with Sicilian Blood Orange Cider vinegar, available now!

This is a real powerhouse of spice flavour! Only available in two batches.

In this limited edition vinegar, we have imported the juiciest in season blood oranges, Arancebio variety. Straight from the grower in Sicily to our door. No plastic whatsoever!

We met a wonderful man called Amar from India. He showed us the freshest spices we have ever experienced. The aroma! Cloves that are reddish brown, not black because they have dried out before they even get to us.

The greenest cardamom you ever did see.

The cinnamon was so fresh that it was still like bark, this is the texture it is supposed to be.

We have never seen black peppercorns like this, big and fresh, not dry and crispy.

We crush the spices with our pestle and mortar, then cut up the oranges and squeeze the juice into the blend, along with the skins for optimal flavour. Releasing the important oils.

This infuses the vinegar for about 6 weeks. Then we add pure honey, and wait for another couple of weeks.

The result is a sweet and spicy vinegar that is so good for your tummy and your taste buds.

Amazing cooked with pork or duck. The result is a sticky delicious sauce. You could add apples or berries too.

The bottle has been chosen very carefully. It is a very old style vinegar bottle. We love the quirky shape, and it’s unusual design. The most important feature is the natural cork. I visited cork the growing area of “montados” in Portugal, before the wine industry decided to use plastic corks. It was so sad to see this industry suffer. But the producers diversified, and make wonderful things from cork. Luckily, some bottlers still use corks. I hope it is coming back.

Cork is considered to be extremely valuable from the point of view of biodiversity and cultural heritage, in Portugal.

The bottle is made from recycled glass. Not only is the bottle recyclable, it is reusable. We have deliberately chosen labels that are easy to remove. The perfect wee flower vase.
